卡尔十六世·古斯塔夫，现任瑞典国王。其為前任丹麦女王玛格麗特二世、现任挪威国王哈拉尔五世表弟，並為已故英国女王伊丽莎白二世表侄。卡爾十六世國王為瑞典已故王儲古斯塔夫·阿道夫亲王与其夫人萨克森-科堡-哥达王朝施比拉郡主所生之独子。由于父亲在即位前因1947年凱斯楚普机场空难过世，而叔父们皆喪失王位继承权，故其于1973年9月15日继承了祖父古斯塔夫六世·阿道夫之王位，而其為瑞典歷史上至目前為止在位最久的君王。
